Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board (Lahontan) The Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board regulates wastes that are discharged into state waters. Lahontan and the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection are developing a suite of science-based tools for water quality protection.

Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) is the State of Nevada authority for water protection. NDEP preserves and enhances the environment of the state in order to protect public health, sustain healthy ecosystems and contribute to a vibrant economy.

Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) is a bi-state agency created by the states of Nevada and California in order to lead the cooperative effort to preserve, restore and enhance the unique natural and human environment of the Lake Tahoe basin. TRPA regulates land use, rate of growth and impacts to the scenic environment among other things.

USDA Forest Service (USFS) The Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU) of the US Forest Service protects Lake Tahoe and its famed water quality by specially managing a diverse range of resources, particularly the complex watershed systems that form the basin surrounding the lake. Programs include forest health and fuels management, habitat and wilderness management, among others.

K&W holds special expertise in strategic communications and consensus management for natural resource, environmental and water challenges based on the fundamentals of understanding, listening, and working with stakeholders to achieve mutual goals. With offices in Washington, DC and San Francisco the firm brings a variety of skills and disciplines, including backgrounds in communications and policy, engineering, science, and natural resources. Kearns & West facilitates the Forum meetings.

Regional Planning Partners (RPP) Regional Planning Paratners is a comprehensive team comprised of nationally and internationally-recognized, award-winning experts in their respective fields. Combined, members of the RPP team offer professional services ranging from visioning, community planning and involvement, economic development, to sustainable mountain community design, redevelopment, and partnership building. RPP conducted outreach efforts for the place-based community meetings gathering input and ideas for the Vision Summary. Additionally, this team is helping with the Community Enhancement Program and TRPA's Regional Plan Update.
