Part of the Pathway process includes creating a Forum of diverse stakeholders to recommend mutually beneficial resource management options to Pathway agency decision-makers. Forum discussions promote “enlightened self-interest” as participants work to understand different perspectives and incorporate the interests of all in developing recommendations. Forum Members are volunteers and put tremendous effort into making sure the citizen's voice is heard. Members share information gained from these discussions to their respective constituencies through various venues.
